Pegboard is the trend in office storage. Now that offices are turning into craftrooms Crate and Barrel has come out with a really overpriced pegboard. The accessories are not that cute and the hardware store is not only a better resource for this type of storage system, but the price is unbeatable. I have a silver pegboard in my office. Bedding is expensive – there is no way around it. Since you use it every night, its important to splurge.
If you are starting out with basics or want a classic look that is amenable to change in color (accessories, shams) get the clean, modern lines of Hotel-Style bedding. Its shocking, but E-bay supposedly has sheets that are of higher quality than Restoration Hardware’s version, at half the price. Compare 200 thread count sheets at RH to 400 on E-Bay! This stool/accent table is a great example of how a small piece can transform a room. Its smart to invest in a couple “splurge” pieces and save money on things like couches. A moderately priced couch with exquisite pillows and luxe accessories for example looks better than an empty room with a lone, expensive couch.

If you are going for a modern, clean look that is affordable, the Peekaboo table from cb2 is unbeatable at $179. Compare it to Wayfair’s version and to the designer version. Check out these great deals on black and white 20s and 60s dresses. Downtown Abbey inspired me to look for a modern take on drop-waist dresses. Drop-waist dresses are not for everyone, they are for women that are very thin. Because of this, I’ve traveled forward to the sixties to provide a couple of mod dresses that flatter all shapes and sizes.
