Gold and Blue Damask Fabric

60” Wide Dior Flocked Damask Pashion Gold/Blue Fabric By The Yard $13.98 + $5.95 shipping at Amazon
This medium weight dupionette fabric has a satin backing and a beautiful flocked velveteen damask design. It is best suited for window treatments, pillows, duvet covers and upholstery.
Just a bit of this rich, luxe fabric goes a long way. This damask fabric provides a ton of texture in a room. It would probably be best to not upholster a large piece of furniture (like a sofa) with it or even use it as drapery. In our opinion, it is best used sparingly; as an accent. For instance, it would be great to use it for an ottoman, small bench or pillows. If you use too much of it your home may end up looking like Marie Antoinette’s boudoir, but not in a good way. You want a touch of luxury and sophistication, not a cloying Versailles copy.
In all honestly, damask fabrics/patterns have become a bit overused, so use sparingly to avoid cliché. I’ve seen damasks used as wall art, which is a new way to display their beauty. This type of fabric has even been hung as wall art panels. (See the project by New England Southerner below):

Damask Fabric Review
Even the review of this fabric say it holds up well and is stellar.
5 Stars: “I needed to reupholster my dining chairs. This worked perfectly, the muted blue is very elegant. Fabric arrived faster than anticipated. It is holding up well to the tension and stapling.”
