Stylish Steal: Acrylic Stool/Table

We seem to get a lot more hits when we post acrylic furniture deals, so we will continue to feature this type of furniture.

This stool/accent table is a great example of how a small piece can transform a room.  Its smart to invest in a couple “splurge” pieces and save money on things like couches.  A moderately priced couch with exquisite pillows and luxe accessories  for example looks better than an empty room with a lone, expensive couch.

I really like this as a side table or nightstand even.  Its petite, but it also has some storage.  For $89.70, you just can’t beat the price.

Accent tables for your bedroom or living room can be expensive, but there are affordable options.  If you are going for a modern, clean look that is affordable, the Peekaboo table from cb2 is unbeatable at $179.  Compare it to Wayfair’s version and to the designer version.  Compared to those, its a bargain!

Cheap Clear Acrylic Modern End Tables

These chic yet cheap end tables are a way to integrate modern upscale design into your space without spending a lot of money.  These tables are a great deal and are at about the same price that a regular side-table retails at, but they lend a high-end aesthetic to any room.

I personally dig the nesting tables, they would be great for entertaining.  Which one is your favorite?  Do you guys even like acrylic?

While there are always concerns about yellowing over time, even if yellow, these tables are classic yet modern at the same time.

Check out these amazing deals on modern arm chairs, both in solid colors and modern patterns.  The chairs are a great bargain and they feature clean lines.  The first two chairs really work as basic and timeless neutral pieces.

The bottom two chairs stole my heart.  The chairs work because the shape is simple even if the patterns are loud.  The adorable floral canary pattern is cute yet simple and modern.  While its a floral, it would not be in your grandmother’s  living room; it would be perfect in a nursery.  The chair with the turquoise / teal ikat pattern blew me away.  Which one is your favorite chair?  Tell us how you feel about buying furniture online in the comments.

Clear Acrylic/Lucite Stools: High-End vs Stylish Bargain

(Acrylic, Lucite, Ghost, Clear or Plastic) furniture is often prohibitively expensive and has always been popular.  Surprisingly this material was initially manufactured in 1937.  For a brief history go read this great article at Apartment Therapy.

These pieces are often in demand because they add dimension and make a room appear larger and airy.  The furniture also looks fairly unique despite its popularity.  The high-end garden stool listed is exquisite, but the expense is not justified. The stylish bargain acrylic crystal stool is similar, but not quite the same.  While the stylish bargain is less modern, it does the job of creating a modern and refined look indoors or outdoors.

This is an all-time big difference in price; a 94% difference ($139 vs $2380) in price! The difference in price is $2241.

We all know Ikea is not exactly known as a bastion of quality or style, but in this case, this is an actual vintage Ikea item that has been brought back recently and it does not scream Ikea.  Interestingly, I think the Ikea version looks way more luxe than the Restoration Hardware version.  I think Restoration Hardware was trying to “update” the legs to make it modern, but I think it just looks cheap.  Ikea does the mid-century modern legs and I think they totally work.

Affordable mirrored furniture, sounds like an oxymoron.  Mirrored furniture is always expensive.  Make the most of Target’s bargain but gorgeous side table at half the price of the one at West Elm!

Ottomans – High-End, Mid-Price and the Stylish Bargain

Hmm, $500 or $41, tough question.  At West Elm you pay for the name and “custom” fabric.  Target, however has a wide variety of really cute seating options that are very affordable.  The great thing about ottomans isn’t just that they are much cheaper than a sofa, but the versatility they offer.  They can add a punch of color to a room, offer storage, be tables with a tray and can be tucked away for later.
