Coordinating Accent Fabrics

If you are looking for a soft color palette for a bedroom or nursery, there are several grey and yellow color schemes that are trendy right now (look at the sweet nursery at the end of the post).  While trendy, these affordable fabrics can provide great accents for creating an appealing color scheme suitable for just about any room in your house.

 

 

The grey fabric is a modern take on damask and provides a richness that can set the tone for a room or project. This sweet fabric provides the foundation for a room. While it is monochrome, grey is so versatile because it goes with EVERY color.

 

This punchy yellow chevron fabric below is fun and trendy.

 

 

This screen printed cotton twill is very versatile and lightweight.  The fabric is perfect for window treatments (draperies, valances, curtains, and swags), toss pillows, bed skirts, duvet covers and even some light upholstery projects or even for an apron.

The incredibly affordable workhorse fabrics below would be excellent partners to the accent fabrics shown above.  These sturdy cotton blend broadcloths have an even weave, yet they are very lightweight and resist wrinkling, shrinking and fading.
